Terms of Service

1.Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VedicLens at vediclens.app (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and VedicLens ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2.Service Description

VedicLens provides:

• Vedic birth chart generation (Rashi chart, Navamsa, and all 16 divisional charts) based on birth date, time, and location provided by you.
• Jyoti AI Scholar — an AI assistant trained on classical Vedic texts (BPHS, Saravali, Phaladeepika, and others) that interprets astrological data. Powered by Anthropic's Claude API.
• Panchang (Vedic almanac) data including Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana, and Hora timings.
• Ashtakavarga, Shadbala, and other advanced Jyotish analyses.
• Personalized daily, weekly, and monthly horoscope content.

The Service is provided for entertainment, cultural, and educational purposes. See the disclaimer above and Section 7 for important limitations.

3.User Accounts

Certain features require you to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Providing accurate information during registration. False registration information is grounds for termination.

You must notify us immediately at hello@vediclens.app of any unauthorized use of your account.

4.Subscriptions & Payments

Free features: Basic birth chart generation and limited Jyoti AI interactions are available without a subscription.

Paid subscriptions: Advanced features, unlimited Jyoti AI access, detailed reports, and additional divisional charts require a paid subscription. Subscription details, pricing, and plan features are displayed at the time of purchase.

• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) via Stripe.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
• All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated. Taxes may apply depending on your location.

5.Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service in an automated manner without written permission.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use the Jyoti AI for purposes other than personal astrological guidance (e.g., reselling AI-generated content as professional advice).
• Upload or submit false birth data to manipulate chart outputs.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users or VedicLens staff.
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service including via DDoS attacks, spam, or other disruptive means.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

6.Intellectual Property

All content on VedicLens — including the Jyoti AI system, chart rendering engine, Panchang algorithms, design elements, text, and the VedicLens brand — is the intellectual property of VedicLens and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.

Your content: Birth data you enter remains yours. You grant us a limited license to process and store it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

AI-generated content: Jyoti AI responses are generated for your personal use. You may use them for personal reference and reflection. Reselling, redistributing, or representing AI-generated chart interpretations as professional astrological advice is prohibited.

Classical texts: The classical Vedic texts cited by Jyoti (BPHS, Saravali, Phaladeepika, etc.) are in the public domain. Jyoti's structured interpretations and synthesis of these texts are original work product of VedicLens.

7.Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• Any astrological content, chart calculation, or AI interpretation is accurate, complete, or applicable to your life circumstances.
• Results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable.

Astrology disclaimer: Vedic astrology is a traditional system of interpretation based on planetary positions and classical texts. It is not a science as defined by the scientific method. VedicLens makes no claim that astrological interpretations predict the future, diagnose conditions, or provide professional guidance of any kind. All content is for entertainment, cultural enrichment, and personal reflection only.

8.Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VEDICLENS AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50 USD IF YOU HAVE NOT MADE ANY PAYMENTS.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such jurisdictions, the above limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9.Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting hello@vediclens.app or using the account deletion feature (when available).

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for:

• Violation of these Terms.
• Conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to the Service, other users, or third parties.
• Legal or regulatory requirements.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 6, 7, 8, and 10 survive termination.

10.Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, this choice of law does not deprive you of protections afforded to you by mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

11.Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and, where required, notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
